Introduction

Dr. Vijay Baghel completed his schooling from Amravati District in Maharashtra. He passed his MBBS from Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Memorial Medical College, Amravati (Amravati University) in 1993 and MD (Pharmacology) from Grant Medical College & Sir J. J. Group of Hospitals, Mumbai (University of Mumbai) in 1998. He has been associated with various teaching institutes after finishing his post graduation.


Experience

His teaching assignments range from Lecturer (Assistant Professor) to Professor in the Department of Pharmacology in various prominent medical institutions. He has made immense contribution to the Department of Pharmacology in various medical colleges in the form of developing the departmental infrastructure. He has been a passionate and dedicated medical teacher and is liked by students and other faculty members equally. He has headed the Department of Pharmacology in various institutes before heading the department at Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences, Udaipur. During his journey as a medical teacher, apart from teaching, he has been involved in research activities, delivered lectures in various CMEs and has also actively participated in various medical camps in rural areas.

He is a very kind hearted individual by nature and students have been fond of him for being empathetic towards their needs. His philosophy in life is to lead a modest, yet straightforward life with simplicity. He is also extremely passionate about Indian music.

After successfully completing his journey as departmental head, he has taken the charge of Principal and Controller at Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences, Udaipur in June 2020. He looks forward to taking the institute to new heights in terms of infrastructural development, novel teaching methods and creating good doctors.
